I (Blake VandeBunte) am the creator of this site. I work in Madison, Connecticut as a teacher at a boarding school. This means that I live with students in a dorm-type setting. When I’m in Michigan, I try to go to as many games as and will never forget being at both home playoff games against the Yankees in 2006.
I do my best to make sure the site has at least one new post every single day of the year. This isn’t always the case, but we all do our best. So please check back often.

After graduating high school in 2000, I (James R. Chipman) moved from Michigan to sunny Florida. I have worked in the Law Enforcement field in Seminole County, FL since 2003.
In addition to my work here at SpotStarters, I previously blogged at Mack Avenue Tigers.
I watch the Detroit Tigers religiously via MLB Extra Innings Package on the tube. Nearby Lakeland also keeps me busy with the Advanced A affiliate Lakeland Flying Tigers, Gulf Coast League Tigers and Spring Training.
I take great pride in giving ink to some of the lesser known diamonds in the rough, down on the farm.
