  • My Two Cents: Ah, the home opener.  Sadly, I haven’t been able to hold food down for three days now and it’s seriously curbing my enthusiasm.  That being said, it’s the home opener and that’s always exciting.  Armando Galarraga will make his 2009 debut after a surprisingly good 2008 campaign.  Many stat projectors and expecting a big drop off for Galarraga has they chalk up a lot of his success to luck in 2008.  He will get a good test against the Rangers who are one of the top offensive teams in baseball, led by Josh Hamilton and Ian Kinsler.  It would be nice if the Tigers could win this series.  Coming off getting dominated by the Blue Jays in their first series, it would be wonderful to get back on the winning track early in the season.  The Tigers started 0-7 last year and if they drop to 1-4 today, they would nudging closer to that terrible mark of 2008.  Let’s get a win today.
