By Blake VandeBunte • Feb 27th, 2010 • Category: Ramon Santiago, Scott Sizemore

Rookie Scott Sizemore clearly has the inside track on the starting 2B job vacated by Placido Poloanco’s return to Philadelphia.  Sizmore has never had an at-bat in the big leagues but has been a very good hitter in the minor leagues.  We have a fair amount of statisitics on him from his days in the [...]

Meet Ramon Everett.  Or Adam Santiago.  Or…Radmon Santieverett.  Hmm.  He’s the guy holding down the shortstop position for the Tigers in 2009.  Not a lot was expected offensively from this two-headed “monster”, but they were expected to be good with the glove and not hurt the club.  Mission accomplished.
A lot of Tigers fans got pretty [...]

Who In The World Will Play Short?

By Blake VandeBunte • Nov 25th, 2008 • Category: Jack Wilson, Julio Lugo, Ramon Santiago

There seem to be three options for the Tigers at shortstop in 2009. Do they stick with Ramon Santiago or do they pull off a trade to bring in Jack Wilson or Julio Lugo. I’ve got the stats here and the stats say, roll the dice with Jack Wilson.

Another Option at Short?

By Blake VandeBunte • Nov 4th, 2008 • Category: Cale Iorg, Khalil Greene, Ramon Santiago, San Diego Padres

The San Diego Padres are coming off an absolultely awful 2008 season and are looking to cut costs. Word on the street is they are shopping their SS, Khalil Greene. Does Greene make any sense for the Tigers?

The Tigers finally got back in the win column today by defeating the Tampa Bay Rays at Comerica Park.  The Tigers, previously losers of 12 of 13, hit five solo homers and held on late to win 7-5.

The Tigers have sent infielder Michael Hollimon back down to Toledo.  Hollimon was called up about a month ago when the club lost Ramon Santiago to a shoulder injury.  Hollimon got off to a slow start with the Tigers but things going with the bat and ended up hitting .261 with a home run.  Good [...]
